About Us
Yemberzan is a youth organisation rooted in empowerment, compassion, and meaningful change. Born from the belief that every voice deserves to be heard, we strive to create spaces where awareness inspires action and where young minds come together to make a difference.
Through advocacy, storytelling, education, open dialogue and community engagement, Yemberzan works towards empowering women, preserving heritage, and nurturing future leaders.
Every project we undertake is driven by empathy, purpose, and the shared vision of a more informed and inclusive society.
At Yemberzan, we believe that change begins with people who care — and our team is a reflection of that belief.

Our Story
“Some dreams are too important to stay in notebooks.”
Yemberzan began with two high-school girls, countless ideas, and a belief that even the smallest voices can create meaningful change. Built by teenagers but driven by purpose, it was never just an initiative — it was a promise to create a space where girls feel informed, empowered, and seen.
Our name carries our roots. Inspired by the Kashmiri Yemberzal (Narcissus) flower, known for blooming through the harshest seasons, and Zan, the Kashmiri-Persian word for woman.
Yemberzan represents resilience, growth, and the quiet strength carried by women everywhere.
What started as a vision between two young girls became a growing community united by one goal: reaching every girl who has ever doubted her voice, and reminding her that it deserves to be heard.
The Yemberzal Flower
The first harbinger of spring, the Narcissus blooms through cold, frost, and deadly snow — a symbol of survival. And Zan is just a mirror of this flower.

Our Impact
Within just a week of its founding, Yemberzan transformed a shared vision into meaningful action by organising its very first awareness initiative at Darul Uloom Ayesha Siddiqua — reaching over 100 young girls through an interactive reproductive and menstrual health awareness session.
The event focused on breaking long-standing myths, encouraging open conversations, and providing accurate information on topics that are too often left undiscussed.
Beyond awareness, Yemberzan distributed sanitary kits and essential hygiene supplies, ensuring that support extended beyond words — witnessing over a hundred girls engage, ask questions, and leave with greater confidence.
